Old Nathan by David Drake

Published: 1991

Genre: fantasy

Length: unknown since I read it on my Kindle, but not too long

Interest: It was on my Kindle and I was looking for something short to read in between books. This looked like it would fit the bill.

Summary: It’s a series of short stories/novellas about Old Nathan. He lives in a pioneer type society, but has special abilities. He can understand and talk to all animals. He also has a limited ability to do magic. The stories are all about how the people of the town have some problem, approach Old Nathan, and he fixes the situation.

Final thoughts: The stories were fine, but not good enough to read all in one go, so I interspersed them between other books.

Title comes from: The main character.
